| 1960 | Kyowa Precision Instruments Corporation was established in Kashiwa, Chiba prefecture and initially produced wristwatches as an affiliate of Citizen Watch Co, Ltd. |

| 1983 | The Medical Division was established at the Daigo factory,began developing surgical suture products, and obtained a medical-device-manufacturing license. |
| 1985 | The Medical Division moved to Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo and began selling BEAR products in Japan, the U.S.A, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Middle East. |
| 2001 | The main plant obtained ISO 9001 certificate, which is an international standard of quality management for medical device, implant material and wrist watch production. |
| 2002 | To enable further expansion, the company changed its name from Kyowa Precision Instruments Corporation to Bear Medic Corporation. |
